I'm glad too! I was actually intending to hit you up on this meme (I'm just slow/hacking away at my backlog) since Olivier ACTUALLY namedropped Roy in this log, so once Shepard realizes who he actually is we could steer the conversation that way and get them on the same page ICly? Right now Kaidan and Shep are totally planning to blow their FREE GOV'T VACATION on a trip to scour for more information about the USSR, so the more hands they have on deck the better.

Ideally, Shepard would like to have easily concealable bugs/audio recorders (that can be left during the day or carried on their persons without being detected readily) and the other would probably be some sort of hands-free camera (also for carrying around) that can be used to snap images of anything (or anyone) that catches their interest. :|a

He doesn't yet, but I've been hoping to go in that direction at some point! He's not quite at lawyer yet either, so I was thinking he could sort of fall into a vigilante thing while that's still developing, maybe even by chance. So -- that could happen, and then she could run into him after?

Shepard is really not the kind of guy to be attempting to teach Annie about normal teenage anything, BUT given the whole Titan thing, it might be fun to have them actually run into each other in person (given that Annie's giving him just text in their current thread, actually being able to gauge her face to face might be interesting in terms of seeing how they'll actually interact).

If you're interested, I'm thinking it might be easiest to just take advantage of one of the present open logs around (as there are a lot) -- Shepard's been demonstrating his Vanguard abilities at the Carnival, so that could be an avenue for accidental discovery of her powers thanks to near-collision with a space marine going at full biotic charge in Collector armor. Alternatively, if she's going to be at the Charity Gala, we could come up with some other reason for them to awkwardly bump into each other?

I WAS STALKING THAT LOG EARLIER but clearly not enough because I was unaware that Olivier name dropped him. BUT THAT IS ACTUALLY EXTREMELY HELPFUL since it would definitely provide a good opportunity to get them on the same page! And Roy would definitely be interested in getting information about the USSR, although he wasn't planning on using his trip because his priority at the moment is the government/porter/military. However, that could also change if it's brought up! Or they could have a session of information trading when Kaidan and Shepard get back or something. I'M UP FOR WHATEVER IS BEST/EASIEST

I also forgot to mention that Roy helped capture Inga, so he wants to try and find Amur/learn more about Russia's motives in terms of the war. Also I understand Kaidan and Shepard have spoken to Olvier in regards to that, so that could be a good starting point, if anything!

Idk maybe they like have to go a club to learn more about Amur and end up dancing in order to eavesdrop

Hmmm, yeah, that may have to be something that hashes itself out ICly depending on what Roy would do! :|a Shepard himself wouldn't force anyone else to use their free vacation time unless they're especially keen on it/have a clear idea of where to go, just because 1. you never know when a free pass to get outside the country will come in handy, 2. he thinks olivier's idea that the government's got some hand in this is a possibility and it's useful to have eyes back home, 3. if it turns out this is a huge bust, at least some of them didn't waste their time and they can cross some shit off the map leads-wise.

As per their agreement with Olivier, he'll be happy to share any information they find! (Let's be real, the only reason he's so gung-ho for this is staying in one place is driving him crazy and he wants to break out of here). We're working on drafting on a travel itinerary we can submit to the mods for plotting/approval, so hopefully that'll help us figure out where to direct efforts a bit as well.

NO I want to do this this is a good thing to explore, and I think it would be interesting to see them interacting face to face. I think the Carnival might be best, as Annie is actually out of town for the Gala (saves me from having her show up in a hoodie again "this is dressed up so help me those who say differently"), so I'll roll her over into that log to hit him up! Especially since accidentally discovering her powers is pretty much how I'd love for that to go and she'll be as surprised as anyone else. I'll probably be good to hit that up in the morning or later on tomorrow (and note to self, hit up Kanaya as little ms goblin at the same time). I'd really like to see how they do interacting with each other face to face!

Shepard's a police officer, so there could definitely be some reason for him to be around a potential disaster scenario, BUT waiting for an event is cool too, and I DO want to have the chance to develop their 'ordinary' relationship more... :|a

Orrr we could always combine the two and have Shepard bump into Blue Beetle first then whine about superpowered dudes to Jaime later (or vice versa, like having to get called away in the middle of a 'research' session to go answer a call). Given that Jaime seems to get along with Kaidan well enough, Shepard would probably not mind telling him stuff, but of course, sworn to secrecy etc etc. (This really isn't subtle as Shepard probably wishes it was ahahaha)
