Also I was really glad that Roy and Shepard were able to meet at the last swearing-in ceremony! I would love for them to interact even more in the future, especially since they seem to have similar feelings/goals in regards to the government, Russia, the war, and their positions here. Roy was also one of the people who helped capture Inga, so he is also extremely interested in finding out more about Amur and Russia's plans, since he doesn't want the war to come to fruition. Also, since Shepard is working with Olivier, it could be a good starting point for that kind of talk between the two.

I'm glad too! I was actually intending to hit you up on this meme (I'm just slow/hacking away at my backlog) since Olivier ACTUALLY namedropped Roy in this log, so once Shepard realizes who he actually is we could steer the conversation that way and get them on the same page ICly? Right now Kaidan and Shep are totally planning to blow their FREE GOV'T VACATION on a trip to scour for more information about the USSR, so the more hands they have on deck the better.

I WAS STALKING THAT LOG EARLIER but clearly not enough because I was unaware that Olivier name dropped him. BUT THAT IS ACTUALLY EXTREMELY HELPFUL since it would definitely provide a good opportunity to get them on the same page! And Roy would definitely be interested in getting information about the USSR, although he wasn't planning on using his trip because his priority at the moment is the government/porter/military. However, that could also change if it's brought up! Or they could have a session of information trading when Kaidan and Shepard get back or something. I'M UP FOR WHATEVER IS BEST/EASIEST

Hmmm, yeah, that may have to be something that hashes itself out ICly depending on what Roy would do! :|a Shepard himself wouldn't force anyone else to use their free vacation time unless they're especially keen on it/have a clear idea of where to go, just because 1. you never know when a free pass to get outside the country will come in handy, 2. he thinks olivier's idea that the government's got some hand in this is a possibility and it's useful to have eyes back home, 3. if it turns out this is a huge bust, at least some of them didn't waste their time and they can cross some shit off the map leads-wise.

As per their agreement with Olivier, he'll be happy to share any information they find! (Let's be real, the only reason he's so gung-ho for this is staying in one place is driving him crazy and he wants to break out of here). We're working on drafting on a travel itinerary we can submit to the mods for plotting/approval, so hopefully that'll help us figure out where to direct efforts a bit as well.

Yeah, Roy's main focus has been on trying to learn as much as he can about the government, so it actually probably wouldn't make much sense for him to use that vacation to go away when there's so much potential danger right in their backyard, so to speak. The war with Russia is obviously a huge threat, but he's a little more concerned with what their purpose is by being here. So, unless there is a really really good lead that would persuade him to go, it's most likely that he would choose to stay where he can keep an eye on government movements rather than leave the country. However, he'd be happy to help organize or offer assistance to Shepard and Kaidan with whatever they would need before leaving.

Roy was able to get some information about the Porter thanks to Erwin and Hange, as well as some other things, so he'd be willing to share that in exchange for anything they might find on the USSR. In terms of future plotting, my plurk is penpoints! Feel free to add me or contact me there if you need me for anything!!

Yeah, that makes sense on all counts. :|a I'll get back to you on what they might specifically need/ask about since I'm blanking on it right now, but hey, alchemy! If nothing else, Shepard ought to ask for a demonstration.
