Time to bring back one of my old faves...
Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:
1. POST a top-level with your character name
2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character

4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!
We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!

ohhh um would mandrake want bartimeus to show up if he had the choice? what if it meant bartimeus would be human (or like. inhuman but greatly limited.)

The "yes" side is because from his current canon point (the answer would be extremely different if I was playing him from the end of book 3, ftr) he does want Bartimaeus here, but in the same way that he wants any of his demons here. He wants him as his slave, basically. LOOK, HE MISSES HAVING SLAVES. Without his demons he's effectively powerless; all his talk is mostly just talk. He misses that feeling of power, of having someone else to boss around and do his dirty work for him. He didn't realise, until he came here, the extent to which he's been looked after all his life. He feels really helpless and stupid and useless here and having someone else to boss around and help him throw his weight around would be a big boon :').
The "no" side is because Bartimaeus smack-talks him ALL THE TIME and would definitely make his life harder here by telling everybody what a shitstain he is. Also, due to the mechanics of RP, Bartimaeus would obviously NOT be bound to Mandrake in servitude (not that Mandrake knows that), and thus all the reasons Mandrake has for wanting him here would be null and void :'). That goes triply so if he's a human. Mandrake has no interest in a human Bartimaeus, that would be a HEADACHE AND A HALF.
If we're talking end of book 3, for example if I canon updated, it's a different kettle of fish. Nathaniel and Bartimaeus kind of come to understand one another better and I think yes, he does want to see him again genuinely, on even terms as friends. But Mandrake is a long way from that currently.

jeeeesus. uHM. ok.
stiles met abigail at the august swear-in where he was attracted by her bagels and irresistible pheromones. he was p vivacious at that whole party and that included telling her she was pretty because he was worried the pushy plastic surgeons were bothering her about her scarring.
and that would have been the end of that, a cute acquaintanceship. but then he actually got the balls to ask lydia to ant man's charity ball, and she was already going with loki so she said no. stiles was immediately furious at himself and basically went "ok do i know any girls my age who might wanna go so i can have armcandy and show lydia i don't care" and abigail sprang to mind. he asked her out kind of self-effacingly in a "or we could hang out w/e" way and she admitted she'd rather hang out in the park than at a big ball, which became picnic plans. and that was way better for him than being a dick. they had a cute picnic and she told him a lot about home (she mentioned will, stiles already knew he was a former homicide detective turned fishing dude, the conversation kind of went from there.) in return he admitted he had a secret but it wasn't his secret and she agreed not to grill him.
then abigail made a post about nightmares and insomnia, and stiles was obviously SUPER sympathetic because hello, canon. and the end result of that thread was he offered to come sleep in the room with her to provide her with some measure of security, drove over in the middle of the night, and ended up snuggling in her bed until breakfast.
abigail then invited him to jesse's party, which was cute and fun, and very datelike. and the next day lydia had a date with loki and stiles was hella bitter but also kind of realized he's been kind of dating abigail. um and then they used never have i ever to get to know each other a little better, and will was overprotective and then deeply horrified at stiles treating him like a terrifying dad. and then stiles messaged her and told her he liked her.
so that's where they're at? next up includes study dates, buying her something, maybe actual hand holding, graduating to kissing, who knows.
so idk. i didn't really expect this but it's super cute. stiles likes abigail because she's more fucked up than he is - terrible, but true. he likes getting to make her laugh when she's quiet or morose about her life, he likes that she's really canny and sets up conversational traps and doesn't make it easy for him, but is also interesting to talk to. and she feels in his league, and fun but not overly social, and all the terrible murder in her life is just like. normal murder. no supernatural stuff.
if you had unlimited time and could app a third to mom, who would it be?

If we're allowing re-apps of characters I've already played before, it would probably be Albert. OR, if I'm ever finished playing Skye, I would immediately re-app Cassie Blake. But I can't play those two at the same time, their voices and the CR would be too similar.
If we're excluding re-apps, probably Arya Stark, because you know I've wanted to play her for AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaAAAAAaaaaaaaages and never gotten around to it. (IT ONLY TOOK ME 8 YEARS TO GET AROUND TO MANDRAKE. I CAN WAIT.) I also keep joking that I'll app Tricia Miller from OITNB to fuck with Pana but the more I think about it the more I actually wish I COULD play her somewhere. orz...
I also of course am dying and desperate to play Haidee somewhere as I have been for the last several years of my life but I keep not doing it because every time I rewatch Gank I just want to play Albert instead. /facepalm

someone introduce her to tony sparklots of kids who lose their parents to illness wind up going into medical professions: what moment made stiles decide to take after his father, and did he ever consider posthumously "protecting" his mother?

okay are you ready for headcanon? i feel like stiles struggles to connect to his dad, and i feel like this was true even before his mom died, because his dad works a job that doesn't leave a lot of spare time. and i like to imagine that there are two ways he got his dad's attention: by acting out, and by getting involved in his work. stiles knows all the police scanner codes (A MURDER???!!??!) and he listens to his dad on the phones and has enough access to his files that he can pore over the hale family fire insurance claims. so it was always kind of inevitable, that he have a strong interest in crime-fighting. scoobying with scott has helped him learn that he can do this on his own, and he feels responsible, as someone who knows about the supernatural and who lit up the beacon in beacon hills, to help keep that "unsolved cases" box empty in future.
and on the other hand, he still feels partially responsible for his mother's death for no good reason, his model of medical care is melissa "long shifts shitty pay" mccall, and he has zero bedside manner. he doesn't have the patience or the ability to deal with other people's loss to be a doctor. also he faints at the sight of needles, and might at the sight of a chopped off arm. so no, medicine isn't for stiles.

i would say he likes pop-punk and nu-punk, anything comedic (so the Mt. Goats, Weird Al, Flight of the Concords, They Might Be Giants, etc) and has a handful of "golden oldie" bands he's nostalgic about 'cause of his parents. that said, he drives a lot and his jeep doesn't have a CD player, so i'm sure he's plenty familiar with Top 40 music.

lydia is having Issues with thomas because she's not entirely convinced that it isn't some elaborate trick by the nogitsune, since it managed to fool them repeatedly into thinking it was stiles, and since he showed up while she and stiles are dealing w some severe tension it's extra bad because it's a case of "would i even know something was wrong." she's really good at separating stiles from what the nogitsune used him for (although she does wonder how much of it was like she was with peter where it was more influence than possession—keeping that to herself), but being able to separate someone who IS IDENTICAL FROM THE FACT THAT THE LAST IDENTICAL TWIN
DRAGGED HER TO THE BASEMENT OF AN INTERNMENT CAMP TO SUFFER AND THEN KILLED ALLISON. she was already beginning to crack with handling the allison stuff and this is really making it worse, causing her to doggedly avoid interacting with thomas beyond their first meeting.
if stiles could bring back one dead character other than allison, who would it be
