aww yeah it's question meme time
Time to bring back one of my old faves...

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:
1. POST a top-level with your character name
2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character
3. ANSWER the question you were asked
4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!
We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!
QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.
Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

Wally West/Kid Flash
no subject
And if he had a time limit (like very limited, even for him) with the offer of a fully stocked buffet of [CHOSEN FAVORITE BUFFET] or a single block of "everyone agrees it pretty much tastes like chocolate" that had the same amount of calories as the entire buffet...which one gets chosen when it's crunch time?
no subject
and single block absolutely
Wally actually doesn't have like a HUUUUUGE HUGE liking for food, not like...say, Son Goku from DBZ. Food is fuel, which is why he'll canonically eat just about anything. He's crunched down completely blackened cookies before just because he was THAT hungry. He seems like he gets enjoyment out of eating mostly because it's the act of fulfilling a need and being satisfied, but Wally never actually feels full anyway. He even has some anxiety over the fact that he never feels full, always feeling varying degrees of hunger from "yeah I could eat" to "HOLY SHIT I'M STARVING TO DEATH" and never ever at "nope, I'm okay." Honestly, if they ever came up with something that DID have all the calories of an entire buffet in one little block of food, Wally would fucking STOCK UP because eating takes up so much time and money that it is at least a problem, and at most a crippling weakness.
SO YES THERE IS THAT.
QUESTION BACK AT YOU: WHY IS WILL SO RELUCTANT TO TALK ABOUT HOW ANNIE IS A DAUGHTER FIGURE FOR HIM
no subject
ANNIE IS NEVER GOING TO BE A DAUGHTER FIGURE FOR HIM she's younger than him, yeah, but...their worlds are so different that he could never really be like a legitimate dad figure because wtf is this place's dads even like y'all got some crazy shit going on. If you meant Abigail there's a whole barrel of bloody people-eating worms with that one. Idk if you know the show but s1 e1 he ends up killing Abigail's dad, who is a cannibalistic serial killer they've been trying to find and stuff comes together after they find ONE body he left behind. He returned the girl to her bed (she was dead and her parents were home with Will and Jack and a cat) and they autopsied and found out that her organs had been removed and put back because surprise! Cancer! Can't eat her, can't honor her, sorry about that, have your kid's body back my bad. Abigail's actual dad is super dead and he killed girls who looked like her so he wouldn't have to kill her, basically, because he wasn't all there in the head. When they find him, he's already killed his wife (by which I mean he's slit her throat beyond the point of no return and throws her out on the porch as soon as Will starts coming to the door THAT'S NOT VERY FRIENDLY) and he slits Abigail's throat right in front of Will, who then shoots him once...and he looks ready to go stab happy so Will shoots him again by which I mean he just shoots him until his gun is empty and then from there on out he hallucinates him and talks about how he feels like they are doing normal things at the same time (brushing teeth, showers, having breakfast) even though Hobbs is REALLY DEAD and he ends up getting framed for all sorts of awful murders and part of the thought/defense people are gonna set up/wanna set up is "he just got really into Hobbs' head and didn't do it knowingly he was just being Hobbs okay" and that's all awful. Abigail at one point tells him that just because he killed her dad doesn't mean he gets to be her dad and it's like NO ONE WANTS TO BE THAT GUY but Will is sort of that guy in all his nightmares and stuff I FEAR NOT KNOWING WHO I AM BUT I'M NOT THAT LEVEL OF NOPE. And then her other stand-in dad is Hannibal Lecter who says as much (refers to her being a surrogate daughter, tells Will that they are her fathers now and have to serve her better than Hobbs which doesn't seem like it would be very complicated to do does it and YET HANNIBAL IS HANNIBAL SO) and like. Do you really wanna be a dad when the other dads are both cannibalistic serial killers can he just be like the cool uncle, but the uncle related to the mom's side that would be great. Also she's 18 so like that's another factor...she had a whole life he was never a part of outside of what he can read on paper and like family photo albums/etc. (what was she like as a kid? who were her friends? he just doesn't know) and it was clearly pretty shitty in more recent years (Abigail says at one point that her father was a good dad right until the moment he wasn't, extremes) so the idea of being a "good dad" after that isn't difficult which is a sad thing but he also doesn't know like...what he can/can't do, you know? Like if he does this one thing that seems paternal, did cannibal dad do it and then she ends up like "aw Will is just like MY daddy you know the really terrible guy" that's an awful comparison it's a mess. It's a huge fucking mess, that's why. Getting into it gets into the why he would be, this guy who is not actually her legal father and he's not a family friend an has this really weird job involving murderers wow how did that happen and the whole explanation is a LOT and also gives away Abigail's story and...that's her thing, you know? If she tells people, that's her decision. But Will doesn't want to just blab about the Shrike to anyone. Yeah that story involves him but it involves her way way more and if she wants to tell, she'll tell. It's not Will's place. Which actually ties into why characters like Annie, Sasha, Jayden, any other teen he gets CR with won't ever be a legitimate kid figure because...well, the last one that had ties to Will as a dad figure when he wasn't legit dad, uh. Stuff didn't
go so well. It goes really not well but spoilers.
Let's not repeat that/remind people who know about that that's not fun for anybody. He's the older dude who has younger friend-like people in his life, he doesn't have to be dad okay.
Wally you have so many buds and so many supers in your life that joke about hard dicks when you typo disc that seems cool. If Wally had the option to be Kid anything...is there any other figure in DC that he'd choose to be? And if there's not but he had to be Kid AnythingButFlash, what would fill in the blank and why?
no subject
other-people's-dads issues
wally's friends are asSHOLES ok and if he had to be tied to anyone but the flash ummmm
he always sort of thought the green lanterns were cool. though he would never say that to hal, my god, have you seen the size of that man's ego it is REDONKULOUS.
WHAT'S WILL'S FAVORITE FOOD /obligatory cannibal pun here
no subject
be so great
life much easier a+
so would he be kid lantern or kid green lantern or kid who deals with hal someone help what's the name there
hahahaHAHAHAHHAAAHHA probably fish he catches and makes himself (Lecter makes a meal out of a trout he catches in s2 and ends up including a fucking octopus with it or something dude what) but he's super easy and simple so he's probably also like that guy who buys mac and cheese in the bowl and warms it in the microwave and just doesn't give a shit that he didn't do the cooking by the book it's mac and cheese and it's fucking GREAT. junk food a+ it's not people it's too basic and crappy let me live off of pop tarts wow.
WHAT SUBJECT DO YOU DO REALLY WELL WITH IN SCHOOL WALLY what's his #1 strength learning wise and does he actually like it if he's one of those supergenius kids because comics and that's a dumb question whAT'S HIS FAVORITE SUBJECT
no subject

WALLS IS SORT OF A SUPER GENIUS he's like way awesome smart with chemistry and mechanics and physics and stuff like that, but he hates history. haaaaaaaaates history. he's getting decent grades in that and english but like wow he does not care about what the fuck scarlet letter is REALLY about like omg nobody cares. HIS FAVORITE SUBJECT IS CHEMISTRY. he also really really really likes physics, they're almost tied

no subject
WELCOME TO COMICS MOST EVERYONE IS A SUPER GENIUS IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER PLEASE ENJOY YOUR STAY the scarlet letter is actually about english teachers getting their rocks off on torturing teenagers/pre-teens that's the secret about the scarlet letter
HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DINOSAUR very vital class for people who are as ancient as him. NO UH book Will has a degree in forensic science and both of book and tv show Will wrote the standard on how to tell time of death by insect activity so I'm thinking he had a lot of fun in biology. Like everyone else is probably freaking out on dissection day and he's just A+ totally chill with it cutting up frogs nbd why does everyone think I'm weird. He has an eidetic memory so English and history, stuff with dates and all that wouldn't be too big of a pain but...man, you can't get as hands on with that sort of thing. No one will let you touch the Constitution unless you're Nicolas Cage. Boo on that.
Wally's feelings on the Sonic the Hedgehog series? Games, cartoon, whatever. Would he play it, watch it, would he hate it, does he relate to the fact of the matter that sometimes you gotta go fast?

AND HE HAS FELT WOEFULLY INADEQUATE BOTH TIMES LIKE THE PATHETIC SAP HE IS
QUESTION FOR YOU: has lydia ever in her life felt insecure about anything
no subject
she even feels insecure about her appearance, sometimes—or at least seeks out affirmation for it. when jackson blows her off, she is genuinely bolstered by stiles reassuring her that she looks beautiful at winter formal.
and worst of all, ofc, being last year with peter. she began to hallucinate, wandered the woods naked for 2 days with no memory of what happened, and peter's gaslighting eventually reached the point where she honestly couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't. she was doubting herself constantly, and terrified by it. she still feels immensely insecure about being "the crazy girl," because teenagers (even stiles) are cruel and unforgiving, and she was popular enough that it was a huuuuge deal to watch her lose it.
as a result, her powers involve some "crazy" behavior (hearing voices, hallucinations, etc.), and so confronting them always leaves her in a place of vulnerable insecurity because she's worried about if it's really happening, if she's just crazy, or if people will think she's crazy and ship her off whether she's right or not. so she kind of envies wally's confidence in his powers and openness with them for that.
who's wally's best friend and why?
no subject
ROBIN. ROBIN ROBIN ROBIN ROBIN ROBIN ROBIN. robin is wally's best friend until the day he dies and then after that. robin gets him, and even when they argue they do it with a respect to each other's feelings, they can say stuff to each other they wouldn't take from anyone else (wally going "hahaha mr no powers over here wants to lead a team" and robin going "wow ur one to talk with your constant fucking up"). robin also showed wally his secret ID, which he hasn't shared with ANYONE ELSE and that is an amazing amount of trust. also wally really admired robin before he entered the sidekick circuit, and robin was very inspirational to him when it came time for him to blow himself up for the sake of having cool powers. they trust each other and they actually communicate, and they have similar senses of humor and they just mesh very well. wally loves robin to itty bitty pieces.
WHO DOES LYDIA RESPECT THE MOST, can be either here or canon or both.
no subject
lydia respects scott the most. he's been through a boatload of terrible shit, and rather than letting it change him, he keeps fighting to change it. he stays aggressively kind-hearted through it all, he takes care of people, and he doesn't give up. lydia has a lot of natural leadership qualities, but she's willing to sort of give scott her figurative axe so to speak because he's applying them in a way that helps people. that's all he wants to do. she really looks up to that level of selflessness and feels like because he's so busy looking out for other people, he deserves as many people as possible to start looking out for him.
how did wally decide on his costume
no subject
well
okay i guess not her choices since her choices didnt bring all that crap down on her head which. sucks.
haha omg so i don't know, but headcanon says he and barry and jay all sat together and came up with it like a bunch of nerds. NONE OF THE OTHER SIDEKICKS (except artemis but she made her costume like a nerdy fan without her future-mentor's consent) HAVE COSTUMES THAT MATCH THEIR MENTOR'S. IT'S ADORABLE. so i'm sure little thirteen-year-old wally was like I WANNA MATCH THE FLASH *A* and everyone just obliged and came up with that horrible eyesore
IF LYDIA ABSOLUTELY HAD TO CHOOSE A SUPERHERO COSTUME WHAT WOULD IT LOOK LIKE

what does wally miss the most from home

WHAT HE MISSES MOST IS
mommy and daddy :(
WHAT DOES LYDIA MISS THE MOST

like it's not even. it's just kind of surreal, wally doesn't even get it. it's like future wally is a different person, completely unrelated to present-wally. He can't yet comprehend ever NOT wanting to do this, so the idea that he would VOLUNTARILY quit is just too alien to consider. plus, in the grand scheme of all the shit that's happening, wally has to agree with robin that it feels sort of...yeah. it's a backburner concern.
QUESTION BACK: WHAT DOES ROBIN'S AVERAGE DAY LOOK LIKE
no subject
ROBIN'S DAY
-wake up early
-regret waking up early
-workout routine
-shower
-(hair care routine)
-school probably
-work probably
-come home
-tiny power naps in the evening
-make not-very-good-but-increasingly-adequate food if wally isn't home yet
-homework
-work on fixing up old computers or whatever's lying around
-stalk the network
-patrol
-sleep not nearly enough
he's a busy busy busy busy boy
WHAT DOES WALLY DO IN HIS SPARE TIME when robin's too busy to play with him
no subject
EVER THINK OF THAT
as for what wally does in his spare time......SLEEP
yup he naps
hes tired
WHAT DOES ROBIN THINK ABOUT WALLY BEING ABLE TO BAKE
no subject
a) it's really useful!
b) it's secretly really smart (CHEMISTRY!!!)
c) it gives him weird warm fuzzy feelings in and around the vicinity of his ribcage; wally being good at domestic things makes him feel FEELINGS because wally's kind of like family except the kind of family whose freckles he wants to kiss (CONFUSING)
d) he knows wally's a little bit embarrassed of it because it's kind of a girly thing to be able to do, and he knows wally's really into trying to keep up appearances about certain things, and so he's just really extra glad that wally told him about it anyway because robin hoards every single personal thing wally ever shares about himself deep within his heart like it's precious dragon gold
wally's favorite and least favorite things about his bff
/self indulgent
no subject
ok so wally's favorite thing about robin is his resourcefulness. despite knowing that robin is resourceful and can handle things without his fancy bat toys and his butler and his piles and piles of money, it's kind of interesting to see how well he ADAPTS. he's also sort of jealous and feeling a bit inadequate, because here wally is struggling to make ends meet and barely feeding himself properly, and then he comes home and robin's like "oh btw here is food also i fixed these sixty computers to sell oh right i also figured out every secret you've been pouring your sad ginger brain over, thanks." IT'S NOT REALLY A BIG DEAL but it's kind of awesome how robin can take care of everything at once. and intimidating. which is probably why wally hoards robin's insecurities like his own pile of dragon gold.
LEAST FAVORITE UM probably the fact that robin fuckin locks the door fifty different ways and makes it a pain in the ass to get in the apartment at night.
LIKE HOW MANY LOCKS DOES A MOTHERFUCKER NEED
WHY DID YOU INSTALL ALL THAT METAL ON THEIR DOOR YOU LUNATIC
no subject
(well okay half the reason is that he's a serious type a personality and doesn't remember how to have downtime and he needs to feel like he's useful and accomplishing things)
but the other half is that he just really likes doing stuff for people and wally always makes robin feel extra warm and fuzzy and cared about so. keeping the apartment running smoothly makes him feel like he's reciprocating some of that. it's his small way of saying thank you and i appreciate you and please don't be too homesick
