PARTY AT MOM'S HOUSE

TEST DRIVE MEME
Considering apping into MASK OR MENACE? Want to dip your toes into the setting and get a feel of whether your character will fit into it? Or maybe you're just cruising and want to play around? Then you've come to the right place!
Pick any of the following scenarios below or feel free to make up your own, but don't be afraid to throw yourself at anyone's thread, either!
And remember to have fun!01. Your memory is hazy and you might feel increasingly frustrated or anxious, or maybe you're excited as soldiers march past, barely glimpsing you. One second you're somewhere underground, the next you're enveloped in blue light, and suddenly you find yourself directly under Flordia sun's bright and burning glare. A female soldier steps toward you with a wide smile on her face and directs you to a car, ready to debrief you. You realize you are not the only one, surrounded by equally confused or eager faces... and you're all sporting a digital tattoo on your wrist.
02. Welcome to Cape Canaveral, where the smell of the ocean is in the air and locals are more than pleased to see new imPorts roaming their streets. They wave, they cheer, they ask for pictures as politely as they can. The more inhuman you look, or if you're wearing a costume, the more likely locals are to approach. Hey, enjoy the moment! The popular malt shop is offering you a free drink if you need it.
03. The technology in this world is certainly something. The cars are clearly modeled after popular 50s cars, but they hover several feet above the ground as they drive down the street. There are digital jukeboxes in restaurants, motorcycles also hover through traffic, advertisements can be seen on a digital projector on the taller buildings. Even kids on skateboards appear to drift a safe ten feet off the ground while playing!
04. Wherever you are, you can hear the loud revving of an engine, distance at first before you finally see it: a hovercar bursting around the corner, going beyond the maximum speed limit and just barely making its sharp turn. It doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon, not with two police cars trailing it... and uh oh. Those skateboarding kids don't have much time to get out of the way as the car comes speeding down the road. You've been brought here for a reason Hero — so you better act fast.

Would've sucked going at it alone.
The sci-fi stuff this situation implicates makes his head spin and the jet-lag feel a lot worse. "Did I ever tell you guys about this thing in some point in time I ain't experienced yet?"
Ahhhh, I just noticed a typo that I put in a few comments ago! (I hate when that happens!)
So, off to the sofa Floyd goes; without removing his shoes, he lays his head on the armrest and spreads himself on the cushions, as if lying in bed. It's pretty darn relaxing. He doesn't even ask if she minds his cigarette ash getting all over the good furniture.
After saying nothing for a minute or two, the assassin recalls what he tried to say and rephrases it. "You said I came from your 'some time ago', right? So, I meant to ask if there was some time in my future, that was in your past, where I told you about this...trans-dimensional government recruitment." Is that any less confusing?

"When I got here, they gave me a file. Said I could do some weird-ass stuff now," Floyd begins to confess to Scandal. "You hear if they tinkered with our DNA while we were out cold, along with giving us tattoos?"

Floyd removes his wrist-magnums and opens up their chambers, revealing nothing inside.
"Told me these guns were connected to me now. I can fire 'em when I want, just have to feed 'em with anger and hate. 'Course, I gotta keep it all in check to make sure these things don't go off when I don't want 'em to," he listlessly responds as he lets his weaponry fall to the ground with a magnificent clatter.
The assassin says nothing for a moment, until he states, "It ain't that I don't want to ask you about your powers. I need to let this sink in. Get some z's." This is an indication that, yes, he'll take the invitation and tonight the world's greatest assassin is sleeping on their couch. Better in here among allies than out there.
Before Scandal could answer, the killer settles and closes his eyes.

Normally, he wouldn't care much about taking such a risk, but even he figures it would be pretty bad form to crisp up some
friends'guys' couch his first night staying over. In a very classy motion, Floyd drowsily removes the cigarette and stubs it roughly against his tongue three times; he, then, tosses the no longer burning remnants with the rest of his gear. Satisfied by his quick handiwork and the vulgar taste of nicotine in his mouth, Floyd attempts to sleep.
