TL;DR cr meme

THE TL;DR CR Meme

It's that time again and why not start it off with a heart warming and tragic foreshadowing gif?

1. Post with your characters - if you have more than one, make a catch all under one header.
2. respond to other people's characters with your characters.
3. They will tell you exactly what their character thinks of your character in depth! Icly or oocly! Make it long, this is teal deer territory after all.
4. React if you wish!
5. You can use this stuff for cr charts or you can even link to something you have written.
6. This is brought to you by irony from one of the more unfriendly characters in game.

Her esteem of Sabriel has sadly gone down after the Melkor thing. But Sabriel's magic seems useful, even though-- like alchemy-- Olivier sees it as fundamentally being "cheap." You don't have to work for it, it just does its thing. How lame.

But that's never stopped her from utilizing people before. She'll just be wary of putting Sabriel in charge of any sensitive information.

So very hawkeward. What can be said about the mysterious Serah Ghost? Uh, probably quite a few things, but the initial impression of Kasumi was that she was someone who piqued Hawke's interest, mostly in a "I can definitely work with this kind of person" way. It was good to know Archangel wasn't going to be all upstart kids and relatively strict military/ex-military types. The "totally a criminal but not so bad type" type is really the kind of person Hawke is most used to spending time with and that's an element that's been missing in all the other imPorts she's gotten to know so far, so it's probably too easy to feel at ease around Kasumi, purely from that aspect alone.

And that she actually tolerates her stupid sense of humor and all the playful flirtation makes her by far one of the funnest imPorts to spend time around. Though post-Famine, Hawke's been left with a handful of worries she hadn't expected to have. Sure, the flowers caused what happened, but she's also pretty damn aware those were just feeding into whatever people had been denying themselves. Had Kasumi only targeted her for that? Had there been others? Was it going to put a strain on their friendship? Strangely, it might be the one time someone would be relieved to hear, no, there were multiple people. Not that she would mind, not really, but flirting is one thing. Anything else is tricky and inevitably leads to death (in her own mind, anyway; it's... it's complicated).

Mostly, with how close to the chest both of them play what's really on their minds, she expects everything will go back to status quo sooner than later, because who in their right minds want to talk about anything serious?

like I don't tl;dr all the time about all my cr on plurk LET'S BE REAL

ANYWAY, not much about Jaime's thoughts on Maria have changed! There's a lot about her that makes him profoundly sad, in a way that Maria herself probably wouldn't think is all that sad. Jaime's idea of happiness is a very traditional one, and sending yourself off to a war without any idea of what you'd want to do during peacetime while being estranged from your family and home do not apply. He knows that Maria thinks the future is kind of a stupid place in a lot of ways, but sometimes he wonders what she'd be like if she had been afforded the same opportunities in her youth as she'd be afforded now.

MARIA MADE HIM THINK ABOUT SEXISM IN HISTORY and man that sucks. He hopes that she can find happiness here, so that maybe when it's time to go back, some of that can transfer over and she can find something she wants to do except, y'know. Hit things with a sword.

When it comes to the two of them, though, he has a funny feeling that he should be more intimidated by her than he is, but he's just... not. He knows she's an amazing soldier that has had her place in history, that she managed to be good enough to get as far as she has as a woman in an unforgiving time, but instead she's just kind of fun, and entirely too entertaining to tease. He's taken her to treating her sort of the way he'd treat a big sister, and he honestly has so much more fondness for her than anything else. You'd think it'd be fascination, or intimidation, or that he'd look up to her, but nope, it's all fondness, all the way. He doesn't understand her half the time, but he likes her an awful lot.

Olivier actually doesn't give much of a shit that Crane's a psychopath as far as she can tell. That's just business for her. But he undermined her authority during the outbreak, trying to cause chaos in her quarantine, and for that she'd gladly plug him between the eyes. He seems weak to her, without the hardiness that warfare requires, and that makes him an ambitious weakling in her view, something she can't abide.

OHHHHH BOY....

God so like first off Tadashi influences Magicman's decision-making pretty strongly for someone he's only known a couple of months. It's not entirely inaccurate to say that just having Tadashi to consider and think about is actually making Magicman's moral compass swing towards 'vague altruism' more often, thinking about the impact he has on the world beyond himself and those people he brings into his circle and wants to protect.

So yeah, basically, Tadashi being there is actually making Magicman somewhat of a better person. Like he's still 90%-95% 'i do what i want' but the 5% will be significant when it counts.

ONTO WHAT HE ACTUALLY THINKS ABOUT TADASHI LIKE ON A CONSCIOUS LEVEL. Magicman understands the responsibilities Tadashi has placed on himself and consciously chooses to live with - they're actually pretty similar in that regard, as similar as they can be when Tadashi's lifelong motto is 'someone has to help' and Magicman is definitely not like that.

But also, Tadashi defines himself by helping people and Magicman's worried because that's what he does and Magicman has plenty of self-awareness to realise that he personally is riddled with issues and he shouldn't be seeing that particular bit of himself in Tadashi so strongly. That worries him a lot and he's trying to work on getting Tadashi to actually realise that he can define himself by being an actual individual and not just "i exist to help people" because Tadashi please. (granted Magicman's issue stems from "i want to be useful/used as a tool and my own wellbeing doesn't matter" so yeah that's..why he's worried).

He cares deeply about his wellbeing, both physically and mentally, and wants to do his best to make sure Tadashi actually enjoys his time for himself and not just for the benefit of others. He's falling into the 'parent/sibling' hybrid role that he played for his operator back when he'd first been introduced because he instinctively feels that's what Tadashi needs from him.

too kind-hearted for his own good. Potentially useful, which is why she wants him on her side, but she also doesn't care for people who undermine her and will be questioning her decisions unless she actually trusts their judgment. She'll want him in her corner in an ideal world, but if not, eh. She'd have no problems cutting him loose if his pesky 'morals' pose a conundrum.

He's half right and half wrong! On the one hand, she's way way worse than he knows yet and she was like that long before things got apocalyptic in her world. But it's true that she doesn't do the whole evil-for-the-sake-of-evil shit. She just doesn't care if people are hurt in the course of doing whatever it is she needs or wants to do!

Anyway, hell yeah, friendship.

Hello, darling.
runningstart: we are so COOL (kf; we blew up the building)

[personal profile] runningstart 2015-06-10 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
NO??? no theyre not

KF LIKES GOGO A LOT!!! Other than the obvious things (likes going fast and she's hot) Wally enjoys that she's very scientific. He loves it when people try to figure out how to make their powers or skills work using applicable sciences and stuff, and he feels a specific kinship with Gogo over that. In addition to the 'likes going fast' thing, he particularly enjoys going fast with her because she's not like Bart. Her brain moves at normal speeds, like his does most of the time; Bart's constantly in fast mode and that makes it hard for Kid to relate to him, but gogo gets it. she knows what it's like to be slow and then to make yourself fast (and Bart might get that too, but in an entirely different and much more awful way). she can slow down and talk like normal but she also gets the rush of going fast under your own power, and maybe that going fast is all the better because she's usually slow. Wally feels like that sometimes, and he's happy he's found someone else who gets it.

Kid is ESPECIALLY happy she came to him for advice; he likes to have his authority on superheroing acknowledged by other people and he enjoys getting validation. he gets an ego boost out of it, sure, but it also kind of reaffirms that he absolutely, 100000% is exactly where he wants to be. if other people think of him when they need to know something about being a superhero? then he must be doing something right. it makes him feel good about himself and each time it happens it helps him to slowly close up that gaping wound of insecurity that he hides from other people behind all the posturing and bravado, to the point where the posturing isn't quite as much a lie as it is a half-truth. that gogo immediately thought "kid flash" when she was in trouble really pulls at his heartstrings, in an entirely good way. he LOVES being a hero and gogo calling him one so easily makes him squirm.

another thing she does is that she doesn't pick on him about his eating habits. he knows he has no table manners and that he's super gross when he's shoving half a sandwich into his face, and 95% of the time it doesn't bother him, but 5% of the time it's a sore spot and it's embarrassing. he's kind of taken the attitude of 'fuck you if you have a problem with it' when it comes to his eating habits so he never looks shy, but people really honestly giving thought to why he eats like he does and accommodating him is really, really touching. there's a very small handful of people in MoM who do that for him, mostly just Robin (sometimes annie but mostly just random gestures from acquaintances and strangers that are more like 'i know you like food so i got you some' instead of dedicated thought to how his metabolism works), so that he barely knows her and she did something like got him energy bars and like gatorade and shit after he ran all the way from the west coast to the east? he really, really, REALLY appreciates it. it's actually really touching. food is a good way to get to his heart, but actually giving it thought like that is sweet on a level he's really not used to from anybody but robin and his parents. he loves it.

THERE YOU HAVE IT

Hello Major.

You're the type of person Olivier very, very much likes. Competent. Effective. No tolerance for bullshit. Practically one of her Briggs men. Very, very useful.

She's not so sure how she feels about the idea of cybernetics. On the one hand, it's taking advantage of every possible opportunity to pursue strength. On the other, it feels like strength bestowed and not strength earned. But as long as it produces people like the Major, she doesn't mind.

Raina is fascinated by Peter. Not only is he potentially from the same universe as her (she believes they are, but she knows there's no telling for certain), but he also knows and interacts with the Kree, he saved the whole universe from some crazy Kree guy, annnd there's something about him that, while he's still a hero, he's not as wholesome as say Captain America.

Obviously this guy has a lot of good stories to tell, and Raina intends on maneuvering herself into a position where he might be more open to telling her them. Plus he's some nice eye candy! So she certainly doesn't mind flirting and being all over him.

I do think that of the people Raina knows, Peter probably has the most potential for her to develop a friendly affection toward. Peter's spent his whole life around criminals, so he's probably not gonna be too judgmental of Raina's level of shadiness. And the fact that he wasn't openly repulsed by her when she showed him her thorns goes a long way. (Raina's so insecure about her alien side, man! And Peter sees that weird shit all the time, so he probably wouldn't even flinch at her true form!)

I really love that her cr with both of them can more or less be boiled down to this gif or something like it.

BUT SHE TEASES EVERYONE THAT SHE LIKES MANABU THERE IS NO GETTING AWAY FROM IT. Just ask her bestest best bestie, she turned his announcement about a family member leaving into a talk about anal fisting. He's just going to have to get used to it because she's not stopping.

As for Martin...lmao yes this is exactly the intended result ghfdjk. Not really but like Hazel has ever let people being put off by her stop her from doing something she wants - including helping people, so it looks like he's going to learn from this experience or die trying.

Always mops.

Kaito is, first foremost her best friend. She's known him since they were kids and of course she has a rather sizable crush on him. Of course though, she'll never tell him that. She's aware that he's hiding something from her, but she spends a lot of time in vicious self denial and tried to convince herself that it's nothing too serious. He's irritating and drives her nuts on their good days but she wouldn't change a single thing about him♥

She could really do without the skirt flipping thing though.

since the world was turning????

TOUKA. Touka. What a funny kid. And, yeah, she can't help but see Touka as a kid, considering the age gap between eighteen and, uh, early thirties. Is. Kind of massive. Though she's obviously a reliable kid, possibly more responsible acting than Hawke typically is at most given times of the day. She doesn't seem to have any problem taking care of herself, which does make Hawke wonder if she's always been looking out for herself or if she at least had a family at some point.

In any case, Touka tolerates how ridiculous Hawke can be and that means a lot to her. It nets her one whole mage willing to back her up and come bail her out of trouble if she ever needs it. Furthermore, rescuing dirty cats off the street? How cute is that? Really cute. Of course, it's easy to say that because she 100% believes Touka is a normal human and not, you know, a cannibalistic ghoul.

If knowing that would change things, well...

Hawke's always had pretty strange friends, so probably not.
