TEST DRIVE MEME

Considering apping into MASK OR MENACE? Want to dip your toes into the setting and get a feel of whether your character will fit into it? Or maybe you're just cruising and want to play around? Then you've come to the right place!

Pick any of the following scenarios below or feel free to make up your own, but don't be afraid to throw yourself at anyone's thread, either!

01. Your memory is hazy and you might feel increasingly frustrated or anxious, or maybe you're excited as soldiers march past, barely glimpsing you. One second you're somewhere underground, the next you're enveloped in blue light, and suddenly you find yourself directly under Flordia sun's bright and burning glare. A female soldier steps toward you with a wide smile on her face and directs you to a car, ready to debrief you. You realize you are not the only one, surrounded by equally confused or eager faces... and you're all sporting a digital tattoo on your wrist.

02. Welcome to Cape Canaveral, where the smell of the ocean is in the air and locals are more than pleased to see new imPorts roaming their streets. They wave, they cheer, they ask for pictures as politely as they can. The more inhuman you look, or if you're wearing a costume, the more likely locals are to approach. Hey, enjoy the moment! The popular malt shop is offering you a free drink if you need it.

03. The technology in this world is certainly something. The cars are clearly modeled after popular 50s cars, but they hover several feet above the ground as they drive down the street. There are digital jukeboxes in restaurants, motorcycles also hover through traffic, advertisements can be seen on a digital projector on the taller buildings. Even kids on skateboards appear to drift a safe ten feet off the ground while playing!

04. Wherever you are, you can hear the loud revving of an engine, distance at first before you finally see it: a hovercar bursting around the corner, going beyond the maximum speed limit and just barely making its sharp turn. It doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon, not with two police cars trailing it... and uh oh. Those skateboarding kids don't have much time to get out of the way as the car comes speeding down the road. You've been brought here for a reason Hero — so you better act fast.

Also Wally might be one of the most loyal friends in existence, but that don't mean he's above criticizing or calling them out when they be jerks. And if Roy is going around accusing Wally's teammates of being spies then he's definitely being a jerk.

KF grins when Conner smiles a little bit and gives throwing an arm around his shoulders another go. It's just as uncomfortable as the last time.] Sure dude, my lips are sealed. Trust me on this though, everyone'll be cool with it. Don't get to pick your family and all that.

[Not his fault. Should have known that punching a clone of the man of steel was bound to leave bruises.

Conner would never willingly betray his team - the three of them were the ones who rescued him, Wally even took him during those three days that Batman was deliberating. But there was a possibility that he was handing over information without even realizing it. That is something he can't overlook.

If he thought about it then the team was the family he would pick over his real one. Without even realizing it, his smile grows.] Yeah. Life would be much easier if we did get to pick.

Well, I guess in some cases you get to pick. You know what I mean.

[Wally grabs a branch from the ground and shakes it in the direction of Wolf.] Hey, does this guy play fetch? Or do I have to through like, a dead deer to get him to chase it down? He looks like he'd go more for woolly mammoth actually.

It's not so bad, getting to pick.

[Seriously Wally? A stick? Wolf is giving him a flat look and ignoring the stick entirely.] Not really. He'd prefer to wrestle. Or eat your nachos.

I am not wrestling with your monstrously huge dog, [Wally says loudly as he throws the stick aside.] The last time I did that with something big enough to bite my head off, it didn't turn out well for me. I mean, obviously not as bad as it could've been, but not preferable.

Then he'd be glad to share whatever food you've got. [And by "share" what he really means is "not share at all".] Wolf wouldn't try to bite your head off, he likes you and wouldn't want you dead.

Wally rounds on Wolf with a grin, walking backwards and almost smacking into a streetlamp.] Is that true, buddy? You like me? Do you wanna play tag with me and your daddy? [congrats conner u r wolf's daddy]
