The Mistletoe Meme

It was a quiet moment in Heropa, FL, when the next devious plot of an unknown organization was realized. With the holiday season upon all the town, bundles of mistletoe with interference technology hidden in the festive bows and pins holding them together was distributed throughout the town and into all the residences of the imPorts.

The interference technology creates a stasis field keeping imPorts trapped underneath it, protecting the mistletoe itself with a small barrier. However, it only seems able to hold two people at a time, and and the reaction of the nanites to sudden changes in chemistry brought on by embracing or kissing brings the stasis field crashing down, leaving the mistletoe vulnerable to destruction at that time.

It's up to you, imPorts, to break free of these mistletoe traps and destroy all the mistletoe in Heropa!

[ She handles that mirror with such ease... man. Super strong people. It was more unnerving before she started knowing more people at that level, and training one to be careful with his strength. ]

Seems like. Sorry. I'm not good at these kinds of things.

[ also known as acts of affection. Still, unless Yang pulls away, Annie will step forward and. Er. Tilt her head back since Yang is eight inches taller than she is, but hey, this doesn't need to be awkward. Kisses are chaste most the time. So no big deal! (Oh, Annie.) ]

[This isn't even using her super strength, Yang is just a ridiculous human being and should probably be kept on some kind of leash tbh. Still, when Annie moves in, she cracks a crooked little grin, shrugging.]

Oh yeah, sure thing!

[But unfortunately for Annie, Yang never does anything by halves, so once she's close enough, she's tugging her in for a kiss that probably isn't as chaste as Annie was expecting.]

[ Yang, you really are a ridiculous human, but it's what makes you you.

And it is more than she expected - which might be noted when Annie's eyes widen in spite of herself and she's holding on to Yang's shoulders trying to decide DOES SHE NEED TO PUSH AWAY or what, because well. That. Er. Dammit. She finds herself kissing back because she's not that stiff, and it sure beats feeling like she's being taken off guard. Take that???

What it does mean is Annie's blushing and she can't even hide that when they pull apart, though she redirects her attention from Yang to the damn mistletoe overhead. If what she predicts is right, then... ]

Pull it down - now!

[ You're taller, Yang, so she really is talking to you right now. If you can reach it! ]

[She tries her best.

She almost, almost giggles into the kiss, if only because it's a little obvious Annie is flustered by it-- but then Annie's pulling back and telling her to grab the damn plant, and with an internal shrug, she gives a little 'hup!' and jumps upward, completely unhindered by her cargo, and pulls the plant down. She lands in a half-crouch, and by the time she stands, the plant is clutched in a slightly flaming fist, being reduced to ashes.]

...well, at least it's not fireproof too.

[ At least Annie would have handled the giggling with grace, it wouldn't have been out of place! Still, her eyes track Yang as she hops up, then lands in a crouch, looking to her slightly flaming fist. That's almost enough to make her smile, but she gets a contemplative look in her eyes, narrowing them as she makes a noise of consideration in the back of her throat. ]

I wonder if that would have worked in the first place. Thank you, Yang - at least that bundle won't be bothering anyone else. Still... how much of that stuff is around town, I wonder? And who put it there?

[ She's still blushing, but it's fading with the immediate embarrassment out of the way. ]

All things considered, probably not. I mean, if they figured how to trap us in here, they probably figured out a way to keep us from takin' it out without kissing.

[She shakes her hand out, letting the ash fall from her fingers, and shrugs.]

Coulda been worse, right? So-- where am I takin' this?

But why build in a flaw like that? As far as I can tell, we're not being directly monitored.

[ So then what kind of "show" is any of this? Annie steps out of the way, heading toward the outside and gesturing for Yang to follow. Right. Office furniture remains to be moved. ]
