The Mistletoe Meme

It was a quiet moment in Heropa, FL, when the next devious plot of an unknown organization was realized. With the holiday season upon all the town, bundles of mistletoe with interference technology hidden in the festive bows and pins holding them together was distributed throughout the town and into all the residences of the imPorts.

The interference technology creates a stasis field keeping imPorts trapped underneath it, protecting the mistletoe itself with a small barrier. However, it only seems able to hold two people at a time, and and the reaction of the nanites to sudden changes in chemistry brought on by embracing or kissing brings the stasis field crashing down, leaving the mistletoe vulnerable to destruction at that time.

It's up to you, imPorts, to break free of these mistletoe traps and destroy all the mistletoe in Heropa!

Oh, it's not so bad... is it?

[She's trying to keep a positive outlook on things, really she is.]

It's... [ it's UNBELIEVABLY AWKWARD is what it is! Limbo Towners aren't exactly an affectionate bunch, and Klarion has all the awkwardness of a teenage boy put on the spot combined with the lingering moral hangups of a 16th century puritan colony. ]

... at least it can be finished quickly, I suppose. [ SORRY YANG, IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S HIM, REALLY ]

[She's so cheery, Klarion- how do you put up with her?]

But okay, hold still, alright?

[Hands on his shoulders now, looking somber and serious. Of course, she ruins it a second later with a grin and a--]

Pucker up!

[ Really Yang, really? Did you have to go there! Klarion doesn't so much pucker up as grimace, like he's bracing himself for something. After a second, he cracks one eye open to glance at Yang. HOW DO KISSING. HOW DO AFFECTION. HALP. ]

[She absolutely did! But at least she doesn't drag it on much longer than that. Instead, she sets her hands on his shoulders, leans in and with a purposefully-loud 'mwah!' smooches him right on the lips.

Of course, a second later she's letting go to take a quick upward leap to snatch the mistletoe, setting it ablaze in her hand with a slight grimace.]

Ugh, there. Handled. See, no big deal, right Blue?

[ Klarion's frozen for a few seconds, too stunned to reply! Once his brain kicks back into gear, he steps back and wipes a sleeve across his mouth, raising an eyebrow at Yang. ]

... I didn't know you could do that. Have you always been able to set things on fire?

[She's totally not giggling at him. Only, she totally is, hand raised to her mouth to try (and fail) to hide her grin.]

Eh, kind of? It's different than how I used to do the fire thing, but hey, whatevs.
