The Headcanon Meme

I. Post with your character. If you've got a bunch, consider doing a catch-all under one header.
II. Poke other characters with questions. Ask about their childhood, crushes, their thoughts on game events. Anything you can imagine.
III. Answer questions people have left for you with your headcanon, or canon if it's been covered there.
IV. Feel free to go into as much or as little detail as you want.

Spectrophobia – fear of mirrors.
Hypnophobia – fear of sleep.
Crystallophobia - fear of crystals or glass.
Thanatophobia – fear of dying.
Does that satisfy you?

And the second one a pale thing. I mean. Reflected light is probably deadly or something.

And you'd be surprised about the superstition regarding mirrors, and mirror images.
But I am partial to Algophobia. That should be on the list.

And...what?

But is it irrational to fear pain? Like all humans fear death, they fear being hurt. Physically and emotionally. Not so irrational, then.
Still. Are you even aware of what constitutes a phobia, Ms. Ludgate?

There's a lot of overlap. Just go with fear of living and call it cool.

To answer your statement, a phobia is what people call an overwhelming and unreasonable fear. One disproportional to the actual danger posed, and often painted as irrational.

Did he just pull a potato sack apart and then sew the pieces together??
Will we ever hear Crane scream HROO HRAAA?

2) Yes, pretty much. He wasn't going to go to a store and ask them to do it. They would've thought he was mad. Plus I imagine it was a personal thing?
3) MUCH AS I'D LOVE TO I'm not sure I'd get away with it. Maybe?

I had considered whether he'd have lost it at university, but much as trying it once from curiosity then going NOPE would be interesting, I feel never fits better given his psychological issues and, er, his fearboner yes.
He prefers to have his mind and body affected by loftier matters. By studying and learning about his life's work - and tbh the expression fearboner doesn't come from anywhere. It's intellectual arousal, basically.

He's kept the secret to himself, since he's wantonly selfish, and enjoys having power - but I think he's come to be fascinated by him MORE for having all that knowledge and power over fear... much as a man as a symbol.

It's set up so much horrible stuff. I CAN'T WAIT.

Crane in the Nolan films didn't have his background expanded on, outside of being fired from the university for his experiments. So I took his origin from New Earth - basically up to the point he got fired, since it derives for him after that in the films. But the meat comes from two comics: Year One and one of the 90s annuals. 95, I think.
Linking Year One - since otherwise there's so much tl;dr omg.
I can't find the annual atm but basically it covers his relationships - or lack thereof - with his childhood peers. I wrote it all up for his application if you fancy a read, so yep!
