Vilkommen, Herren und Damen, to the...

~TL;DR MEME~

Fucking magnets, how does this work?
Step 1: Post a list of your characters.
Step 2: Sit and twirl your moustaches until other people post their characters, then go and ask them questions about their folks. It can be anything, from "So how deep DO Tony Stark's daddy issues run?" (Answer: "they swim amongst giant squid and anglerfish and the trench the kaiju came out of") to "Tell me your least favorite thing about the DC canon" (Answer: "Holy shit are there some cockmongling dingleberries running that company").
Step 3: Other people will ask YOU questions. You go and answer those questions, and be polite - ask THEM a question in return after you're done answering it! (So, it's not just "Nick Burkhardt decided to become a cop when he heard about police brutality and wanted to get in on that" but also you follow up with "What magnificent auroch did Loki hunt to get those beautiful horns?") Then when THEY answer their question, they'll ask YOU a question! ("They came from being cuckolded in Shakespearean times. What are Nick Burkhardt's favorite sunglasses?") And the you ask THEM A QUESTION AGAIN! And they ask YOU! And you ask THEM!! And they ask YOU!!!! So that it's a great big patty-cake of QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS!!!
Step 4: Repeat ad infinitum until we break the motherfucking internet

идите идите идите козлы

I'm afraid most of Jacob's goals in MoM are pretty generic hero stuff: figure out the Porter, save Earth from the Porter if it turns out to be Reaper technology, find a way to send everyone home, identify who is terrorizing ImPort events and then biotically suplex them through the nearest table. So, you know, realistic attainable everyday stuff. In the more immediate sense, he's aiming to find new employment and familiarize himself more with local firearms, because both those things have been issues so far.

Despite his sizable agenda, Jacob does take time off to relax while he's stuck in the 21st century. It's just that Jacob's idea of relaxation involves doing 300 crunches every workout, multiple times a week. He's an exercise fanatic and he hasn't let a little thing like being stranded in another world keep him from staying in shape. He goes on long runs, and he loves swimming at the beach. Jacob also has a secret dorky appreciation for old movies (especially Old Yeller), and has been taking the time to check out the local theatres when he's not busy with other stuff.

Question about Shinjiro's powers: could he restore a dead organism to life with one hand, if his other hand was in contact with a living organism to destroy?

--Oh my god, he's just as much a training freak as Shinji's bff Akihiko. they should have a dorky sit-up contest obvs. No wonder Shinji thinks Jacob is such an okay dude.

As for powers-- that is entirely plausible, depending on the complexity involved, and if the organism being deteriorated was enough. And how dead the dead thing is. Obviously there's more to jumpstarting someone than just doing it-- whatever killed them has to be restored, any damage from lack of oxygen to the brain, etc etc. For that reason, plantlife would be waaaaay easier than, say, a dog or a human.

So that would involve a ton of energy-- and shinji being a secret woobie he is, would feel really weird about killing something for something else. He doesn't think highly enough of himself to justify being allowed to make those judgment calls-- But in the heat of the moment, depending on the situation? he'd damn well try.

For that reason, it would probably be good for him to study some basic anatomy and the like for healing-- while likely not necessary, I imagine being able to isolate and focus any mending would significantly cut down on energy usage.

So, speaking of Old yeller-- Does Jacob plan on getting any pets? Do you imagine he's had any, or wants any? Tell us anout him and aminuls~

Jacob's a great guy with dogs (is my headcanon). He has the right balance of warmth, firmness and laid-back mentality to be a good companion for a pet. I'm guessing he would have really wanted a dog or other pet as a kid, but due to his father's frequent travels in space it just wasn't possible. And he wouldn't have been able to keep a dog while in the military either, so that would have been a no-go as well. He has no plans to get any while stuck in the 21st century: he intends to leave as soon as he can, and it wouldn't be fair to whatever pooch he left behind!

Seriously though if he was ever able to take proper care of a dog he would totally get the fluffiest, friendliest golden retriever and run around with it and play fetch every day.

Does Shinjiro have any pet-type experiences or desires?
