Death appreciates her mortal helpers! Her job is a very busy one, and so the gods and mortals that manage their own dead are a huge relief to her. She also always appreciates someone who can understand her worldview, more or less.

Interesting! It's not often she's surprised. It's really not often she's surprised by a death aspect that's not her. She sort of wants to figure out the mystery of how she isn't Kid, but on the other hand, he seems like a perfectly nice young man and that might be kind of rude.

Death thinks she's a person who's innately kind at heart who's had that warped and twisted by any number of bullshit.

She thinks she's also melodramatic, and that her desperate need to be punished for her actions was entirely about her own guilt rather than any sense of justice.

Death loves Marceline's style. She also always appreciates talking with someone who sort of understands, a little bit, where she's coming from. Even if Marcy's vampires are a little different from the norm.

Death never really dislikes anyone. She literally is all-loving. So she doesn't really judge him for his love for carnage, but she does think that he Doesn't Get It, because she appreciates the creation just as much as she does the destruction.
