TL;DR cr meme

THE TL;DR CR Meme

It's that time again and why not start it off with a heart warming and tragic foreshadowing gif?

1. Post with your characters - if you have more than one, make a catch all under one header.
2. respond to other people's characters with your characters.
3. They will tell you exactly what their character thinks of your character in depth! Icly or oocly! Make it long, this is teal deer territory after all.
4. React if you wish!
5. You can use this stuff for cr charts or you can even link to something you have written.
6. This is brought to you by irony from one of the more unfriendly characters in game.

Raina's first thought about Tiffany is 'what purpose can she serve?' What she very much believes is if she lays on the sweetness and kindness, she will solidify loyalty. Tiffany obviously suffers from low self-esteem and probably doesn't have many friends, so Raina knows exactly how to prey on that. And she also knows the end result will be beautiful. Tiffany's undying loyalty, possibly wiling to do whatever Raina wants her to do. Maybe even kill for her. ;x

And eventually, she and Chilton are going to sit down and talk about what use Tiffany can serve for the both of them and come up with some kind of plan for her. Sorry, Tiffany. You unluckily got chosen by the abuse of power couple.

In all honesty, Jesse is probably Kotetsu's closest friend in the game, aside from Barnaby. At this point, Kotetsu's been here for almost a year and a half and Jesse's still one of only two people he's ever voluntarily told about Wild Tiger without being directly confronted about his identity. And he's kept his secret all this time, which Kotetsu really appreciates, and makes him one of the people he trusts the most among the imPorts. He also just generally enjoys Jesse's company and finds him fun to talk to and just shoot the breeze.

The thing is, though, that he worries about Jesse like...all the time. The more he gets to know him, the more he realizes he was right about his initial suspicion that the guy has led a hard life? Like, he thinks about how Jesse's parents kicked him out and cut ties and how he lost the love of his life too and it kind of aches because he thinks of Jesse as a really good guy and he really just wants him to be happy. It frustrates and confuses him a lot how Jesse doesn't seem to agree, and he kind of wants to just shake Jesse by the shoulders like look at all this good you're doing though. He respects him a great deal, and would even just with how he took care of kids at the Heropa Youth Center and then Xavier's, but his healing really puts it over the top. Kotetsu's never going to forget the time Jesse nearly died saving his life, and while he doesn't think of it as a debt to be repaid or anything (because not even he's that hypocritical lmfao) he's always going to be so so grateful and a lil bit guilty about that whole mess. It's also a huge part of why he worries about the other man because power nullifiers have been a Thing they've dealt with more than once and he's always kind of worried that they'll wind up in a situation where Jesse will actually die from healing someone too much and not being able to regenerate.

The other big thing that'll be weighing on his mind from now on is going to be the dreamscape. It's the first time he's realized that there's issues that go way beyond "had a rough life" and he's. feeling super out of his depth with it tbh. Because like, he's known what it's like to be afraid of yourself but it was a very concrete sort of fear grounded in the fact that before he could control his power he was literally a human-shaped wrecking ball. So there's that versus Jesse's dream representation of slowly killing him from the inside out by dint of his very existence and now that he's awake he's just like "wow that's actually really fucked up????". So he's kind of a mix of disturbed and upset on Jesse's behalf and super overwhelmed because he wants to help and thinks someone should help because it's horrifying that anyone would feel that way about themselves, but how and where do you even begin with that? Kotetsu might have been willing to poke his nose into the whole business about Walt and his brother in law, but there's no way he would ever pry about someone's personal mental demons like that unless he was specifically invited to do so. So he's just going to try to hang around and be there for him and hope that can somehow make even a little bit of difference.

THE GREATEST OF FRIENDS

Hazel is still absolutely terrified of Sabriel, but by now things have moved along to the point where she's mostly just angry whenever she thinks of her.

She's put this immense and unrelenting pressure on her life without even bothering to get to know her or even learn her name, and Hazel's starting to realize that she probably doesn't even think about it. Not only that, but she's this enormous hypocrite - her own powers caused horrendous destruction, but it's fine because she's a good necromancer!! - whereas Hazel knows that if she had made a similar mistake there would never have been time for her to explain herself, let alone make a network post about continuing to do the job she'd just ruined.

It's infuriating, and what's even more infuriating about the whole thing is that she's actually made an attempt to do something for once and get her to listen and understand, and Sabriel just refuses to. She feels like she's desperately arguing in circles and just being met with a stone wall, and it's so upsetting when it's her own life on the line here. It just really drives home the point that her entire existence isn't even worth a conversation.

Recently though (like, as of yesterday lmao) she's become a lot more...galvanized, I guess is the best word? in regards to Sabriel. Her friend Josuke knows about the whole thing now and he's determined to help her if she ever needs it, and she's so terrified of making him even a tangential target for consorting with and protecting the undead that if it came down to it she'd be willing to completely override her innate fear of necromancers and actually confront Sabriel in order to keep him out of it.

So there's like, some dangerous resolve brewing alongside the usual abject terror. Friendship's amazing!

JAIME IS THE NORMALEST DUDE EVER TO NORMAL, CLEARLY THERE IS NOTHING UNUSUAL ABOUT HIM AT ALL

But no, seriously! Jaime is the rarest of all creatures: a genuinely nice guy who is totally unphased by weird shit. This is more important than it sounds, because Klarion is all about weird shit, and he's used to getting bad reactions from people who don't know how to deal with his brand of weirdness. But Jaime? Klarion teleports next to him out of nowhere and Jaime just says hi and gives him french fries, how is this guy even real. He's honestly kind of baffled by him, and half-wondering if he has any skeletons in his closet.

That said, by now he trusts Jaime enough that he'll probably take him up on that offer he made a while back to help him get some modern-day clothing! And this will probably go straight to hell when I finally do that damned candy heist

HEH /RUBS HANDS TOGETHER

So Superman is kind of legendary at this point. All the boys back home wanted to be Superman (except for Wally he always wanted to be the Flash but he is an outlier and should not be counted). Superman's a living legend not because he's powerful and seemingly invincible, but because he always does what's right and he's always kind. To the people who deserve it, anyway.

Even if Superman back home was something of a jerk (and even if Wally is biased on that because he's got Superboy's back) he's nothing like the one here. I've been over all this already, Superman being a lot nicer here, treating Wally (for the most part) like part of the team instead of just some kid, blah blah, etc.

AS FOR WHAT'S DIFFERENT. Wally is getting a lot more comfortable with the idea of being friends with these people (read: the League) instead of just some kid trying to prove himself. For all the tantrums he threw and all the whining he did, he treated himself as a kid just as much as any of the adults did, if not more. He had convinced himself of their infallibility when it wasn't actually there, and he'd shoved them all up onto pedestals they didn't ask for and judged them for it if they fell. Getting shouted down by Power Girl and then going home and coming back after helping to put the League back home right again had done an awful lot to teach him about actual equality, and now he's ready to UNLEASH THAT UNDERSTANDING ON UNSUSPECTING ADULTS.

As a result Wally's trying to get to know people better as people. That means teasing people, seeing how they react and getting to know them personally. Superman is chief among them, because a) he really likes Big Blue and b) Clark handles his teasing with aplomb. Superman's kind of funny and even if he's a worrywart (AND A TOTAL SHOWOFF!!!) he's kind of fun to be around. Wally's pretty sure he'll never be able to pal around with Clark like he does with Robin or Jaime, but he can definitely get that big brotherly vibe and work with that.

TL;CR WALLY WANTS TO GET TO KNOW CLARK AS A PERSON AND WORK WITH HIM AS A COHESIVE UNIT OF FRIENDS

Elsa is stunning. That's the first thing you can't help but notice about her, and Raina totally flirts because you can't help it with a beauty like Elsa! But Raina is also well aware that she's hiding something. Could be something big, could be something small. But it's definitely something.

If she knew of Elsa's true nature, well then, Raina would probably like her all the more! As it is, she finds her fascinating and intends to pursue more chats with her in an attempt to figure her out! So sorry, Elsa. You're stuck with her. She'll be the thorn in your side.

Crane is interesting to her because she can tell something is off about him, but she hasn't quite figured out if he's just a weird eccentric head shrink (which she has always thought therapists et cetera as, so no real surprise if so), or something more . . . I can't think of a word. Not necessarily sinister, since he hasn't given her reason to think he's a bad guy, but just--yeah, something feels off, that's the only way to put it.

She does appreciate some of the stuff she's learned from talking to him, though she'd never tell him that, 'cause he's smug enough already. She didn't read a whole book on Jungian ideas, but she read the wiki and was like huh, cool. And she red Poe and liked it fine, but then she found Lovecraft because of that and liked that more. So yeah. And she is still super grateful for him saving her from that evil hole, and she is still under onus to him for that.

She finds Castle super friendly and likable, which is sort of both a blessing and a curse, because it reminds her of her exhusband because he looks similar to him (damn characters being played by the same actor), but thankfully he's different enough from Jim she doesn't feel super bummed enough to avoid him. She enjoys bantering with him and maybe one day she'll ask if he has something she can read of his, but that seems like a rude thing to ask for some reason.

ok but seriously.

marceline feels...betrayed? in her own dumb personal way that doesn't make a lot of sense. she put herself out there, she thought kanaya would get it, but she convinced herself pretty fast that kanaya didn't actually understand shit and she was gonna keep projecting her own issues onto her and. yeah. it made her take a hard look at herself and that messed with her head for a while. she's finally settling back into some kind of normalcy in a new city after a few weeks of shitty coping mechanisms, tho - ironically, closer to kanaya.

there's probably hope to rebuild that bridge, she wanted to like kanaya, but marceline's too damn stubborn and prideful and childish to make the first move.

Ana (I didn't sleep well and can't remember the alt code for the special i and copy/paste is in use in other areas right now please forgive my laziness please be kind) seems like the sort of person who honestly just likes to have fun, which does not at all mean that's all there is to her, but she's got that zesty spirit that pops nicely. It isn't obnoxious (in Will's direction; others might have different experiences and argue, naturally), either, but another one of those breaths of fresh air. She doesn't get down and wallow in the mud of soul-crushing despair when whisked away to another reality, and she doesn't roll in pity whenever her housemates up and vanish, as far as he can tell. What does she do? SHE GOES TO VEGAS and gets drunk and texts several people (how much you wanna bet he and April ended up texting her at the same time while they sat in bed, let's get the money rolling here) and doesn't at all give a shit about how they might look back at these conversations and think wow, this weird girl, probably underage, getting drunk, the shock, the horror, fetch my smelling salts the future is doomed! So maybe she's covering up some legitimate dark past, who can tell, but even with all her bullshit (like being Freddie's bff and whatnot) she still seems to stay to true to who she is on at least one level instead of putting up a front, you know? Which is pretty neat. Maybe she spews lies and can't figure out riddles, who cares, at least she appears to know who she is and is comfortable enough with herself to be consistently true to that part of her, the part of her that's her and doesn't back down, even when she's texting someone in law enforcement.

Which is basically to say: mad respect, yo, keep on keepin' on, call Ludgate or Graham if you need to get out of jail for a minor offense. You cool.

She found him friendly to talk to and was actually pretty intrigued in the whole magic thing. Even if it was just to see it and see if he was just doing science and calling it magic, it could still be interesting to see, like seeing a magician saw a woman in half or something.
